Are we living in an era of interpersonal hygiene? This photographic project came to life while quarantining in my flat in Edinburgh, Scotland, during the Covid-19 outbreak. In such interesting times, the way people interact with each other has changed dramatically, often forcing them to embrace new and 'unnatural' rituals: washing hands compulsively, wearing masks, avoiding human touch and segregating ourselves in our rooms. The experience of touching one another carelessly, spontaneously is now revolutionized, scrutinized following the latest hygiene and medical advice.
